Tell me if you like the idea: basically, he was a normal college student studying mechanical engineering,
and he was trying to come up with a breakthrough.
Of course, he failed, but he had his few buddies to stand by him.
Now, as his character and "powers" are developing, the villain was coming into fruition as well.
Of course, she's not as thought out as my new superhero,
but I'm gonna say that she will be some form of demon and/or celestial being.
Anyway, she was summoned or something to Earth and she realized that she needed to find the superhero.
(I'm withholding the names to the end for a reason by the way.) Anyway, one night in our hero's garage,
he comes across a dark grey and yellow-ish orange trinket, or something with that color scheme I dunno.
SO, he picks it up or interacts with it, and is suddenly teleported to a dying world in another dimension!
He finds a race of celestial beings known as the Glurox,
who tell him that their planet was attack by an unknown dark force.
In response, they tell our hero to take a special device that will magnify the power of
ANY machine he uses it to work on, it's abilities being boosted 100x, some functions not even
acknowledgeable by humans, but the hero accepts.
He suddenly wakes up on his floor in his garage, and it's morning.
He turns to his hand, for him to see the very device given to him from the Glurox.
He saw it before the "vision," (this is what he calls it) but had no idea what it was.
Fast forward later on, he decides to use it, reluctantly, on the very breakthrough he was working on:
A pair of mechanical jet wings. they were dull and plain before,
and nowhere near powerful enough to lift a cat off the ground, let alone a human.
Despite his constant failures and his fear of losing progress by destroying his machine,
he goes ahead and uses the tool. He soon realized after much confusion, he knew,
at least somewhat, the machine was capable of doing. It could recreate it's head into
any tool imaginable, some even the hero had no idea was. Nevertheless,
he began to tinker with his prize machine. Prior to starting, he noticed as he put the device
to his contraption, it began to glow profusely, with the same yellow orange glow it shared.
The hero didn't think much of it, so he began his work. We move forward hours and hours later,
bordering on almost 2-3 days, progress moving at insane speed from the gift of the Glurox.
His parents brought him food and blankets down to the garage, where he continuously toiled away
for even more hours. Meanwhile, the villain began to build her kingdom somewhere in the ocean,
a floating kingdom of hell itself. Her many dark underlings swarmed the grim fortress like bees,
constantly rebuilding any part not reinforced. She thought she was invincible to the
insignificant flies known as humans. However, she only built up this complex to compensate
for her own great loss. You see, along with the Glurox, her home planet was dying as well,
due to the same dark force. However, she and along with her people believed the Glurox attacked them.
To make matters worse, she did not escape through a portal,
she remained in the dimension where her people and the Glurox
lived. (they're not aliens, they have their own dimension along with other beings)
However, she was summoned to our dimension from an unknown being
(this person will become a villain later on in this universe) And took it upon herself to capture
this world for her own, as the many years of rage she built up were finally released.
(WRITER'S NOTE: I know some may say that the planet Glurox and her planet dyed off just now in the hero's vision, but this isn't the case. In the dimension that the Glurox and the villain's species are from,
they had a much different passage of time compared to Earth, so the vision the hero received
already happened hundreds of years ago in that dimension, but in our dimension it happened at
that very moment.)
BACK TO THE STORY!!
Returning to our hero, he finally, after all those years of attempting to improve the quality of life for humanity,
has finally created the perfect personal flight suit. His suit came with turbo boosters that'll blast you
"out of this world," and it's own unique touch of Gluroxian technology was added: two golden,
glistening rings hovering around each wrist plate, and our hero knew EXACTLY what they were for:
short distance teleportation. Passage through one ring would bring the user out of the other,
and these rings could be set in any location, even more ways our hero wished to improve humanity with
the unknown potential of technology. Well, what's he gonna do, stare at it? Our hero ties his shoulder length hair
back into a ponytail, straps on the steam punk-looking googles, and suited up into his creation. After that,
he wanted to complete his look, but he didn't know how. He then remembered his two katanas he owned. Yes, our hero, when not tinkering in his garage or taking his classes, was watching all sorts of anime, as he was quite the nerd. As he acquired his swords and sheathed them to his side via his suit, he felt like... like a superhero! Before he left the shield of his garage, he struck a mighty, heroic pose to.. stroke his ego? He's a little weird...
As he walks out of his garage, passing pedestrians stare at our hero in awe and confusion,
wondering what in the world he was up to. Alas, our hero starts up the engines, positions himself for takeoff,
and just as expected, soared 50 feet into the sky. He was flabbergasted, seeing the neighborhood he spent his life in appearing so miniscule to him, it was a lot to take in. Our hero had feared many things, but heights was not one of them. He's been going on planes since he was just a child, and ever since then he wanted to improve on aerial technology. And now, he probably made (with help from the Gluroxians) one of the largest technological advancements since the Wright Brothers! Our hero began to soar through the air, feeling free as a little bird...! Wait a minute! Little birds aren't cool!, our hero thought, so he needed a different analogy... hmm... a hawk? Yeah sure. Anyway, as he flew through the sky, he noticed he heard a loud and obnoxious ringing noise. Upon close inspection, he discovered it originated from the local bank underneath him. Well, earlier he proposed the idea of a superhero, and he believed his was more than capable taking on some criminals (or is he?), so he made the decision to set course downwards towards the local bank, ready to defeat the greedy thieves at hand....

Hey reader! I really hope you enjoyed more backstory for my new character/universe! And I was being entirely truthful when I said that I had a dream about this. I had it the night prior, and although there were some aspects from it that I either didn't want to include or forgot when I started typing, but yeah, he's LITERALLY the superhero of my dreams. Anyway, you must have been wondering what the names of our characters are, and why I withheld them, and now I'll tell you both! The reason I never mentioned any of the names is because I didn't want any reader to judge the characters by only their names, and only have impression solely based on who they are as a character, not about how stupid their name may sound. Anyway, here's the names!
Protagonist: Hawk Knight
The meaning behind these names are that, suspected from the mention of a hawk earlier, he 1) can fly and do so EXTREMELY quickly, and 2) his whole outfit resembles that of a bird, but only making it subtle. Hassen's name is literally Hate in German, one of my heritages. Plus it sounds cool. I will also be drawing concept art of these characters and what I want their designs to be like, so keep your eyes peeled for that! I really hope you like this universe I created, and give me feedback telling me what you think!
